cmFile

A personal long-term archival tool.

cmFile is a private, single-user tool that creates encrypted backups of its owner's own cloud storage. It reads files from the owner's Google Drive accounts using read-only access and writes encrypted archives to independent storage providers, so that the data survives the loss of any one provider.

How it uses Google APIs

• It requests read-only Drive access (drive.readonly, drive.metadata.readonly). It never modifies or deletes anything in Drive.
• It runs on the owner's own computer. There is no server, no hosted component, and no third party involved.
• It is used by its author only. It is not offered to other users.
